We’re pleased to introduce our new and improved Athena Tracker workshops.
These workshops are in-person training sessions for both new and existing users, bringing together staff from different schools in a collaborative learning environment.
Sessions are led by experienced Athena team members, including account managers and product specialists, with occasional input from current users who share how they have successfully applied the system in their schools.
These workshops combine hands-on training with open discussion and peer learning and take place across Ireland throughout the school year. They are available at Beginner, Advanced, and Mixed levels.
5 Reasons You Should Attend the Athena Tracker Workshops
If you’re considering attending one of these training days, here are five key reasons you may find them valuable.1. Practical, hands-on training
Each workshop includes a detailed walkthrough of the Athena Tracker and how to use it effectively in a school setting, along with an interactive discussion with users and Athena experts. You’ll focus on real challenges faced in schools and how the system can be used to address them.2. Real classroom insights from other schools
Sessions are in-person and bring together staff from a range of schools and settings, giving you the chance to hear how others are using the software in practice. This helps you learn from real examples rather than isolated use cases. Throughout the day, attendees are encouraged to ask questions, give feedback, and share what has worked in their own schools. No two schools are the same, so this shared discussion often surfaces practical insights from different contexts.3. Workshop Levels to Suit Every User
Our Athena Tracker Workshops are designed to support users at different stages of experience, ensuring each session is relevant and practical for your school’s needs:Beginner (New Users)
This workshop is designed for new users who are new to the Athena Tracker. It focuses on building confidence in navigating the platform, understanding its key features, and supporting effective initial implementation.Mixed (All Users + Team Building)
A workshop designed for both new and experienced users. It is ideal for schools sending multiple attendees, particularly where staff have a range of experience. This session also supports shared understanding and team alignment in how the system is used across the school.Experienced (Experienced Users)
A workshop for experienced users, particularly those who have previously attended workshops or have been using the software for some time. It focuses on deeper use of the platform, sharing best practice, and supporting more advanced implementation within schools.4. Recognised CPD training
Athena Tracker Workshops count towards teachers’ CPD requirements, and all attendees receive a certificate upon completion. It is a practical way to support teachers’ ongoing CPD requirements.5. Dedicated time for focused development
Workshops run as full-day sessions, giving participants the space to step away from day-to-day school responsibilities and focus on developing their understanding of the Athena Tracker. What Are The Experts Saying?
To understand the impact of the workshops, it’s useful to hear directly from those involved.
Emily Brick, founder of Athena Analytics, believes these Athena Tracker Workshops are a highly effective option for those implementing the software:
“I believe that attending an Athena Tracker Workshop is the number one way to increase proficiency, get the most out of the software and drive engagement throughout the school.”
Schools that have attended the workshops have also reported strong value from the experience. Donal O’Reilly, Deputy Principal of Killorglin Community College, said the communal nature of the workshops allows him to gain a greater understanding of how other schools are benefiting from the software.
He said: “(The Athena Tracker Workshop gave me) the space to get out of school and focus on the software and learn from others and their experience.”
This was a point echoed by Mairead Lucey, who is the Principal at Scoil Phobail, Sliabh Luachra.
She said the workshops helped her see the potential of the Athena Tracker for her school, adding: “I see a huge capacity for it to be used by subject teachers… so we will include it as part of our school improvement plan.”
