Athena Analytics Founder, Emily Brick, Wins Leadership Award

Athena Analytics Founder, Emily Brick, has been named ‘Emerging Business Leader of the Year’ for 2025. This prestigious award was presented as part of the annual Business Leaders Gala Dinner, which is held in association with Kerry Innovation Centre, Kerry County Council and Ernst and Young (EY).

Over 180 members of Kerry’s business community gathered for the gala event, which took place at the Rose Hotel in Tralee on the 11th of September. The event has become a highlight of the county’s business calendar, where the incredible leadership, vision, and innovation of Kerry’s business landscape is rightly recognised.

Speaking of the award, Emily Brick, had the following to say:

“I have been lucky enough to attend this event in the past and have always been inspired by the calibre of business leaders in attendance. Those experiences made me appreciate the award even more and made this achievement extra special.

We have grown consistently every year. Today, over 400 schools are subscribed to Athena Analytics’ products and we have supported more than 350,000 students; delivering technology that has a real impact on students’ lives and futures. On receiving this award, I’d also like to acknowledge the progressive school leaders who have taken on our software, especially those early pioneers. The willingness of these schools to embrace technology and adapt to new ways of teaching has been incredibly inspiring.”

There were two other awards presented on the night. Patrick O’ Donoghue from the Gleneagle Group was named as Kerry Business Leader of the Year, while Dr Oliver Murphy, formerly president of the MTU, was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
