Each year we provide reports for schools comparing the results of their State Examinations with results nationwide. This year, we are hoping to put together the statistics of the single-sex schools for Leaving Certificate, in a similar manner as we already do for DEIS schools and Gaelscoileanna.
How this works is, we will collate the results of all single-sex schools who contribute their results into a report. We will also do a report for all-girls schools and all-boys schools individually. This gives schools the opportunity to compare their own results with results of similar cohorts. Statistics that will be included in the report are participation rate, percentage doing Higher Level, percentage doing Ordinary Level, average CAO points, estimate mean percentage, median grade and percentage receiving less than 40%. These will be presented in a report with metrics displayed in overall tables and also broken down by subject.
For a school to receive this overall report, they just need to contribute their results; there is no cost involved. Results will only be shared with participating schools, they will not be published by us or shared with any schools
If you wish to get a report showing your schools’ results versus the statistics of this cohort and overall statistics, the cost of our usual reports apply.
We currently have 35% of these results gathered and will share the report once we have at least 50% of the results. You can sign up to participate here.
